Ice delivery softwareEvery bag, every box, every hot day.

Delivery Genius runs packaged ice routes the way they really work: sweeps across a territory, drivers who fill the box and bill what they put in, freezers in other people’s buildings, and a season that swings with the weather.

Ice is not a parcel route.

The weather writes the schedule

A heat wave on Saturday means Friday’s loads were wrong before the trucks left the dock.

The driver decides at the box

Nobody pre-books ice. The driver reads the merchandiser, fills it and the bag count becomes the invoice.

Your freezers live elsewhere

Hundreds of merchandisers in stores and bars — each one an asset you have to find, service and keep cold.

Summer flat out, winter barely

Truck counts that triple in July and shrink in January break software priced for a fixed fleet.

Built for ice

How Delivery Genius runs an ice route

  • Sweep routes — A territory served across a weekly cycle, not a fixed list of pre-booked stops — on real roads, from your plant.
  • Fill at the box — The driver records bags put in on their own phone; that count is what gets billed, at the door.
  • Freezers & merchandisers — Every unit, where it is, its temperature and its service history, on the stop it belongs to.
  • Merchandiser monitoring — Works with industry-standard merchandiser monitoring systems, so box levels and alerts reach the route.
  • Weather-aware AI — Genius AI watches the forecast and proposes bigger loads and extra stops before a hot weekend — your team approves.
  • Cost per bag — Product, labour, fuel and equipment brought to one number per route and per account.

Questions

Ice delivery software FAQ

Does it handle sweep routes, not just pre-booked stops?

Yes. Ice routes are built as territories served across a cycle. Drivers see every account on the sweep, fill what each box needs, and the route adapts to what they find.

How does billing work when the driver fills the box?

The driver records the bags put into each merchandiser on their phone. That count raises the invoice at the door, where the customer can pay by cash or check (and by card on Commercial and Enterprise), or it goes on their account.

We run three times the trucks in summer. Do we pay for them all year?

No. Your truck count follows the season: add trucks for the rush, drop them after, and pay for what you actually run each month.

Can it keep track of our freezers?

Yes. Every freezer and merchandiser is recorded with its location, temperature and service history, and the platform works with industry-standard merchandiser monitoring systems so box levels and alerts reach the right route.

What does it cost for an ice business?

Plans are the same for every business: Express is $125 per truck a month plus a $1,500 monthly platform fee (1–10 trucks), Commercial $150 per truck plus $2,500 (11–30 trucks), and Enterprise $175 per truck plus $3,500 (31+ trucks), with a one-time implementation. For ice, Nexus is $449 a month and Route X-Ray $229 a month if you want them. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
